SWAD
2007
During
the Executive meeting in Bern the European Executive discussed the possibility
of having a global SWAD in 2007. For that we need to consider not having the
same subjects that has been IFSW Europe focus of the SWAD over the last years,
to have a representative of the Europe Executive on the team organised at the
global level, to prepare the background paper, and to give member organisations
the proper time to organise the activities.
However it is
expected that a global theme will be chosen, in a similar way to the approach
we have used in Europe, with briefing material.
Member organisations and regions will be able to interpret the theme
according to their local needs and circumstances.
In
order to be able to make a decision, the Executive decided to organise a
workshop during the Delegates Meeting in Sofia on the details related to the
global SWAD. The material resulting from the workshop will be used by the
Executive in the discussion with the SWAD global team.
The
Executive decided that the timetable for SWAD preparation is:

July 2006 – to have the information on the
date of SWAD

September 2006 – to set the preparation
team; The Executive will decide in Sofia the person from the Executive who will
be the link person for SWAD.
RECOMMENDATIONS
The Delegates Meeting is recommended to Support the European Executive
Committee work on the preparation of SWAD 2007
