The Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust have reported how the Trust helped the victims of the terrorist attacks with the financial support of donators:
- 20 children of dead victims have been identified all of whom are needy and have requested for support.
- 38 children of injured victims have requested educational support.
- All these children have been identified by personal visits of the Trust staff to their homes. Family histories have been taken.
- Further interviews are being continued. Contacts are being established with families of victims
- The Trust believes it can support 150 beneficiaries - or more if donations come in.
- All possible efforts are being made to identify those in need including contacting agencies and private employer who have announced that they will give assistance to families of terror victims.
- The trust has identified and provided 5 year scholarships for the education of about 150 poor children.
- 50 more children have been identified who could be helped with scholarships if the resources become available.
