World Social Work Day

IFSW Europe has a long history of highlighting the Social Work Profession in Europe. It began celebrating an annual "Social Work Action Day" in 1996. All the member organisations of IFSW Europe were invited to celebrate and promote Social Work through local, regional and national activities.

For the first time - on March 27, 2007, the European Social Work Action Day was celebrated together with social workers around the World, as IFSW celebrated the first World Social Work Day. IFSW Europe now celebrates World Social Work Day with IFSW members around the World each year.
