Estimados trabajadores sociales en Perú

Les envio este mensaje en nombre de la FITS con motivo del trágico terremoto ocurrido recientemente en su país. Estos desastres son siempre terribles para la gente afectada por ellos. También crean los más grandes desafíos para los profesionales.

La comunidad entera de trabajadores sociales los tiene en su pensamiento en este momento difícil. Enviamos nuestros recuerdos a todos esos trabajadores sociales que han sido afectados directamente y a todos los que estén trabajando para proporcionar ayuda. Sabemos que el trabajo social tiene mucho que ofrecer en la respuesta al desastre. Sin embargo esto presenta grandes desafíos personales para los individuos.

Querriamos ofrecer ayuda pero es difícil saber cuál hacer. Por favor aganme saber si tienen necesidades específicas.

Dear social work colleagues in Peru

I am sending the greetings of IFSW/FITS following the awful earthquake in your country. These disasters are always terrible for the people involved. They also create great challenges for professionals.

The whole community of social workers is thinking of you at this difficult time. We send our best wishes to all those social workers who have been directly affected and to all those who are working to provide relief and assistance. We know that social work has a lot to offer in the response to disaster. However this presents big personal challenges for individuals.

It would be good to offer help but it is difficult to know what to do. Let me know if you have any specific needs.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
