Luanda July 27, 2009

On the occasion of the inauguration of the Client Support Service at the Luanda General Hospital, Francisca do Espírito Santo, Governor of Angolian province of Luanda, suggested to recruit social workers in health units, "as they can give a valuable contribution to the recovery of the patients."

The Governor aims to improve the quality of public health services by recruiting social workers into the health sector.

"We are here to unveil a new service. That is the Client Support Office, so that in the democratic exercise, we can obtain from the clients of this hospital their opinions on how they have been treated, the quality of service, our failures and the positive references that can be done to the employees", she said. The Client Support Service is a unit for patients and others aiming to improve its service and detect the critical points of the institution. The newly inaugurated Client Support Office also has employed clinical psychologists to meet the psychological assistance of the patients.
