Message from The italian Association of Social Workers on #WSWD200

Information Type: NewsTopic: Human Rights, IFSW

March 21, 2020

On this World Social Work Day, l’’Assnas shares and makes known all the wishes and expressions of solidarity and closeness that are coming from international organizations and Social Service Associations throughout the world: IFSW GLOBAL, IFSW EUROPE, IRAN, PALESTINA, RUSSIA, KOREA, PORTUGAL, MALTA, ROMANIA, CHINA, ANGOLA, ISLAND, BRAZIL, and many more

This 17.3.2020 takes place in Italy in one of the most difficult moments for the country, in the middle of an unprecedented health emergency, Assnas offers a wish to the entire professional community of the Social Worker but also to all health professions, socio-sanitary, parasanitary, Order Forces and Civil Protection, committed at the cost of health and life to save our country and our citizenship. The wish also goes to all of us citizens, so that we may truly grasp the importance and the value of human relations, as is the theme of this day, that value of human relationships that today more than ever, grasping its true meaning, may lead to the resolution of this epidemiological emergency.

The value and importance of relationships consists, in its deepest meaning, precisely in the respect of rules and prescriptions, in the respect of laws and our beautiful Constitution Charter; said value lies precisely in understanding: that the importance of the “US” is the salvation and protection of the “I”, that the importance of the protection and respect of others, is also the salvation of each individual, that the national tax burden that sustains the health care system and socialhealth care is what allows the survival of each of us! To be respectful of all this means to show solidarity, it means to be protective towards all, towards ourselves and towards the future of our Italy and our society. The importance of human relationships today is teaching us that being physically distant instead means being extremely united! united against evil, together towards salvation and towards tomorrow!

ASSNAS again launches the invitation and wish to BE ALL UNITED against evil, we are united in overcoming this emergency, we are united in love and in the protection of humanity and human relationships.

My thanks also go to all our institutions, which are working for the best management and resolution of this emergency, in their commitment to saving all human life and limiting the consequences and suffering that this situation will entail in time.

As President of the National Association of Social Worker I ask them to understand the importance of the work of the Social Worker in the best management of the emergency also health care, as this, constituting also it an essential level of assistance and having the ability to support the system in the emergency interventions is to macro level but above all to capillary level for the protection of all the weak bands individuals alone, marginalized and unable to cope with the constraints of personal resources and family networks.

Assnas today appeals to the European institutions and to the governments of every country in the Union and in the world to cooperate in the provision of health services and all measures to combat this pandemic, in the sign of the importance of human relations and the principle of safeguarding life and international and commercial relations, which up to now has encountered many difficulties.

IN THIS I ASK FOR THE HELP, SUPPORT AND SUPPORT OF IFSW AND ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE FEDERATION, EUROPEAN AND GLOBAL, IN RAISING AWARENESS OF THEIR GOVERNMENTS, HEALTH MINISTRIES AND COMPANIES PRODUCING PRESDI SANITARY.
In deeply thanking all GOOD WORLD SOCIAL WORK DAY

IL PRESIDENTE
