Today the IFSW global team and the Afghanistan Soc

Today the IFSW global team and the Afghanistan Social Workers Association met with UNICEF and UN Women to explore partnerships that led to social empowerment and the co-building of services with communities. UNICEF agreed that they will work with the Association in identifying joint projects and that social workers connected with their other activities can be linked, supported, and endorsed as members of the Afghanistan Social Workers Association.
UN Women was deeply impressed that the Association has completed more than 8000 economic empowerment projects with women across the country and provide these entrepreneurial businesses with ongoing support and advice. They invited the Association to apply for funding to support the expansion of this approach.
