We are pleased to invite you to the online book launch of Social Work as a Global Profession: Handbook for Teaching and Learning, on Wednesday, 23rd October 2024, from 12:15 to 13:15 Central European Time (CET).
This handbook, made possible through the generous support of the Alumni Association of Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), originated from the collaboration in the ‘Social Work in an International Context’ module within BFH’s Bachelor of Social Work programme. It is designed to support the development of lessons on social work in an international context and can be used as a complete course or as individual teaching units.
Focusing on social work as a global profession, the handbook addresses a gap often found in university programmes. It is freely accessible to students, practitioners, and educators. While we hope that all social work programmes will eventually include international social work as a core course, this handbook serves as a valuable supplement to current curricula.
