IFSW Europe is calling for expressions of interest from IFSW E member organisations wishing to host the 2027 IFSW European Conference. The aim of the Conference is to bring together social workers, researchers, and policy makers to share their experiences, common problems and focus on strategies at European level. We learn from each year we run the conference and interested associations will be provided with advice from past hosts of the conference and from the IFSW Europe Executive Committee.
Below you will find a template to complete to provide initial information about your proposal. This is stage one of a two stage process. In stage two, you will need to provide full details of the proposed conference.
Before submission, the IFSW Europe President and Vice President offer an online discussion with you by telephone or videoconference. Please email us at to arrange a meeting as soon as you are ready to discuss your proposal.
If more than one association wishes to co-organise a conference, please provide all the information for all associations in the form.

We hope to take the final decision about the host of the 2027 conference in the 2025 Delegates’ Meeting which will be in Oslo on 3-5 October 2025. Online joining will be possible for delegates unable to attend, but we would like all conference proposals to be presented in person in Oslo.
