Cristina Martins, the newly elected President of IFSW Europe, has written about a routine day in her working life as a social worker in the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Porto for the British newspaper and international media partner for the Stockholm 2012 world conference, The Guardian.
Cristina also talks about her work for IFSW Europe and her special responsibility for communication, her work as a musician and bringing the two elements of her life together in a video for IFSW Europe. She writes: ‘I have been able to draw on my experience as a musician in the production of a DVD launched by IFSW Europe in 2011, Social work is, composing the music and lyrics and performing a song’.
