The International Federation of Social Workers Asia-Pacific (IFSW-AP) invites participants to a special Pre-conference Workshop ahead of the Asia-Pacific Regional Social Work Conference (APSWC 2025).
Under the theme “Strengthening Intergenerational Solidarity for the Future in the Asia Pacific Region – Focusing on Climate Change and Other Environmental Issues,” this workshop will explore how social workers can build stronger bonds between generations to create resilient communities and ensure long-term ecological well-being.
Distinguished speakers from across the region will share insights and experiences:
Amarawansa Ranaweera – Former President, Sri Lanka Association of Professional Social Workers (Sri Lanka)
Pen Sophanara – President, Association of Professional Social Workers of Cambodia (Cambodia)
Cheng-Hsin Lee – Deputy Director, Rerum Novarum Center (Taiwan)
Manohar Pawar – Professor, Charles Sturt University; Former President, International Consortium for Social Development (Australia)
