IFSW has co-developed a new partnership that promotes the visibility of the profession through the International Social Work Hub, an on-line publication of the Guardian. The three partners to this venture, CAFCASS, the Guardian and IFSW are committed to creating a high-level media space that highlights global social work practice and perspectives.
In a world where governments are increasingly overwhelmed by growing social problems, social workers remain optimistic about human potential whilst realistic about the need to confront policies that fail people. Examples of the positive impact of social work can be found every day in all parts of the world but are rarely shared.
Rory Truell, Secretary General of IFSW said, “The International Social Work Hub provides a place where we can learn from one-another and hear the authentic voices of practitioners in the real world. This will be an international centre-point that examines best practice, that so often makes a significant difference to lives of children, families and the wellbeing of communities”.
