National Social Worker´s Association in Burundi

The National Association of Social Workers in Burundi “NASWA-Burundi” was created in March 2015 and approved under Ministerial Order Nº225.01/423 of 5 April 2018. Apart from very few who studied abroad, the majority of Burundian Social Workers graduated from Hope Africa University, the only university teaching Social Work in Burundi

The vision of NASWA-Burundi is “to be a national framework for professional advancement in the prevention and resolution of social problems and development of social functioning of individuals, families, groups of individuals and the community in general
