The aims of our organization are to work for a change in the precarious situation of social work in the DRC and formulate adequate trajectories to improve the practice of social work in accordance with its deontology in order to make it a profession rightly recognized by all the administration
state and partners.
The objectives of NASW are: to promote social work as a profession and a decent job in DRC, to conduct with the department social work of academic institutions such as Universite Evangilique d’ Afrique based in Bukavu (DRC) an exploratory/research study on the overall situation of the Social work in DRC, Conduct joint research project on the organization of the Social work in order to improve the barriers between social work theory and practice, to perpetuate the post-graduate training of social workers through training courses and sessions for capacity building.
Initiate and sponsor community development projects to support communities in the fight against poverty and socio-economic inequities, gender-based rape and violence, environmental degradation and mismanagement of natural resources, and other issues that are likely to occur to destabilize the psychosocial balance of individuals, families and communities.
