JASW founded on December 2016, and it´s registered under the ministry of interior.

Our aims and objectives:

1 – Developing and promoting social work and social services in Jordan as a profession has the knowledge, practice, and scientific research and the guarantee of practising this profession from social workers who are prepared theoretical and practically in one of department and colleges of social work in one of the recognized universities.

2 – The contribution to the preparation and training of social workers and developing their capabilities and social and practical professional skills,

3 – Organizing the practice of social work profession through a commitment to the ethics, basics, and evidence of practice in all social work field in collaboration with the academic departments of social service and social work and related governmental and non-governmental institutions

4 – Te representation of social work and social service professional among internal and external governmental and non-governmental institutions.

5 – The activation of social work and social service roles in the Jordanian society in all fields of social work.

6 – Working on providing welfare, rehabilitation and training for students and alumni and people who practise social work in the academic departments in collaboration with governmental and non-governmental institutions.

7 – Working on achieving societal and institutional recognition of social work and social service professionals in the Jordan society.

8 – Working on developing social work in cooperation with related governmental institutions, organizations, committees, centres, professional and scientific organizations that work in the social work fieldç

9 – Preparing and implementing activities, programs, and societal and professional projects

10 – conducting surveys, and societal and professional research projects.
