Social work educators and students are working tirelessly providing critical services in the aftermath of the earthquakes in Nepal. Ms. Pradipta Kadambari, CEO of the Nepal Schools of Social Work (NSSW) said:
“We are very proud of our young social work students who with their integrity, felt the their responsibilities along with their social work skills and principles are now living with the communities in 6 different hard hit villages in very difficult logistics for more than 20 days”.
IFSW Secretary General, Dr Rory Truell, said “Nepalese social workers, educators and students are working together demonstrating commitment, passion and skills at the highest level. They are playing leading and critical roles in the recovery efforts. In addition they generously offer the international social work community these reports so that we can learn alongside them as they confront mass displacement, large losses of life and a country in crisis.”
