Social workers in Italy have asked for urgent help and assistance in order to be able to continue their work and to keep people alive.
As countries in the European Union have failed to give medical assistance and supplies to Italy, social workers are asking for their colleagues in European countries to intervene and advocate to their governments so that medical assistance and supplies can be immediately available for Italy.
Respirators and sanitary protection (sanitary masks, gloves) are urgently needed.
On behalf of the Italian Association of Social Workers (Ass N.A.S.), and the president Paola Pontarollo, I call for support and solidarity in the most difficult time for them.
