
IFSW Europe Regional Commissioner to the United Nations
The IFSW Global Commission to the UN and IFSW Europe are reopening the call for the main Regional Commissioner to the UN focused on the work in the Geneva office.

This role is part of the IFSW global UN Commission and has a special responsibility to liaise with the IFSW European region. This position is voluntary (unremunerated) with expenses payable. The Regional Commissioner will be invited to liaise with other IFSW European committees and structures.
The overarching objective of IFSW representations to the UN is to represent a social work perspective to the UN and the UN Agencies and to work towards joint action based on social work principles.
Representatives are requested to focus on one or two themes (e.g. social protection and health) that are relevant for global social work and coordinated within the Commission. Ability to travel easily to Geneva is preferable, but the Regional Commissioner can be based in any part of Europe.
