In an era where understanding and resolving conflicts have become paramount, the NASW International Committee is set to host a webinar titled “Beyond Borders: Navigating Conflict Using Insight from Global Social Work Perspectives” Scheduled for 28 February at 1pm EST, the event will be hosted by Michael Cronin, our IFSW North America Regional UN Commissioner.
The aim is to help social workers in Canada and the USA continue playing a critical role in conflict resolution and peacebuilding by understanding the root causes of conflict, building relationships and trust, adopting a strengths-based approach, collaborating with other professionals, and advocating for social justice.
This event underscores the critical role social workers play in peacebuilding and conflict resolution, providing them with the tools and perspectives necessary to make a significant impact in their communities and beyond.
