Call for Expressions of Interest to Host the 2027 Asia-Pacific Regional Social Work Conference
IFSW Asia-Pacific invites expressions of interest from IFSW Asia-Pacific member organisations to host the 2027 Asia-Pacific Regional Social Work Conference (APSWC). This biennial event brings together social workers, educators, researchers, and policy makers from across the region and beyond to exchange knowledge, address shared challenges, and strengthen solidarity in advancing the social work profession.
Hosting the APSWC offers a valuable opportunity to showcase the work and achievements of social workers in your country and to foster regional collaboration on key social issues.
Interested organisations are requested to complete the Bidding Form, which marks the first step in a two-stage selection process. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to submit a more detailed proposal in the second stage.
The IFSW Asia-Pacific Executive Committee and previous conference organisers will be available to offer guidance and support throughout the process. We are also happy to arrange an online meeting with your association to answer any questions you may have about the bidding procedure.
If your organisation is considering a joint bid with other member associations, please include details of all collaborating organisations in the form.
The deadline to submit the initial Expression of Interest Form is 30 May 2025. Please send the completed form via email to:
