The initiative, run by Association Nationale Travailleurs sociaux, kicked off with a week-long training program for volunteer social workers. These social workers will play a crucial role in assisting the displaced population.
“We’re thrilled to have completed this initial phase,” says Lucio Kikuni, “Association Nationale Travailleurs sociaux’s representative on the ground. “Next phase, we’ll be focusing on training local community leaders, while simultaneously starting construction of much-needed tents within the camp.”

Continued Support Needed
While the project has begun, full funding remains a challenge. Association Nationale Travailleurs sociaux is urging the public to consider donating to the cause through a GoFundMe campaign: GoFundMe campaign here.
“We invite everyone to share this link with their network,” says Association Nationale Travailleurs sociaux. “Every contribution brings us closer to reaching our goals and providing vital support to the most vulnerable members of the Goma community.”
Thank you for your continued support.
