Today I lived the life of social work students in Ukraine, from the classroom to the bunker.
ASproAS (The Association of Social Workers in Romania), in partnership with IFSW Europe, signed a cooperation agreement with the Kamianetz Podilsky Faculty of Social Work. This collaboration brings us closer to those who go through university to become social workers.
I found myself in the middle of the stress surrounding my social work course at university. Alarms went off during the presentation, and schools, high schools and universities are required by law to take students to bunkers to protect them.
I joined them and continued my presentation, together with Ana Rădulescu, in the bunker. It is a challenge to talk about the effort required to promote this profession that is so necessary for the Ukrainian people.
Reflecting on the experience, I realized the challenges of supporting a profession so vital to the well-being of Ukrainians. What struck me most was the unwavering dedication of these students to remain actively engaged in the discussions and invested in their own growth and development, all with the ultimate goal of serving others. Their commitment is truly inspiring.
