The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) is pleased to announce that its statement for the 64th Commission for Social Development (CSocD) has been formally accepted.
The statement positions the People’s Charter as a foundational vision for policy development. It is strongly aligned with the Doha Political Declaration, which emphasized the three inter-linked global priorities:
- Poverty eradication
- Full and productive employment and decent work for all
- Social integration in the context of respect for human rights
Furthermore, the document highlights the essential role of social work by providing concrete examples of its contribution to creating and implementing inclusive social policy. It stresses the necessity of fostering enabling policy environments to achieve comprehensive social justice globally.
