Ghana Association of Social Workers

Ghana Association of Social Workers (GASOW) is a professional body made up of trained and practising social workers from all fields. We promote best practices and ethical standards as well as the protection of members. Our objectives include; addressing challenges and circumstances of Social Workers and Social Work Practice; promoting the exchange of information and experience among social workers in Ghana and in other countries through exchange programmes, conferences, publication of papers and professional journals; promote training and research among its members; uphold the principles of Universal Human Rights in collaboration with other National and International organizations, encourage social workers to assume their full responsibility of citizenship; advise stakeholders on issues relating to professional social welfare services and contribute to policy formulation on social issues.
