The Spanish General Council of Social Work is the professional representative body of social workers in Spain, with 36 professional associations and more than 40,000 social workers. It works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain practice and ethical standards. It advocates for the pursuit of social justice and changes to social structures and policies to promote social inclusion and redress social disadvantage.
